With the beautiful backdrop of clear, blue Colorado sky and snow topped mountains, Hoffman is Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County’s largest project to date. Upon completion, it will provide more than 60 families with safe, decent, affordable housing. Purchased in 2006, this 8+ acre plot of land will be the setting for over 29,000 hours of completed sweat equity time, contributed by Habitat homeowners, their friends and family, and our dedicated volunteers. The land is located at 3043 D Road, just half a mile from the Colorado River and right next to the Mesa County Wildlife Study Conservation area. Although we have complete rehabilitation projects throughout the valley, Hoffman Subdivision is where we focus our home building.
In August 2010, the first house was built in the subdivision. To date we have built eighty homes in the Grand Valley.
