ReFUND CO: Your Refund, Your Community, Your Choice
You can re-energize our important work if you get a state income tax refund in 2020. Through the Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit initiative called ReFUND CO, You can choose to donate some or all of your refund to an eligible Colorado-registered charity, like Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County, with a simple designation on your 2019 State Income Tax Return. This new statewide initiative is your opportunity to directly support a nonprofit that you value and trust.
How does ReFUND CO work? It is as simple as 1,2,3:
- Decide how much of your refund to donate.
- Enter “Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County” and our registration number 20043002301 in the Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund line on your 2019 State Income Tax Return or tax software – or just give this info to your tax preparer.
- Smile knowing you’ve helped a cause that matters to you.
You can learn more about ReFUND CO by visiting RefundWhatMatters.org. And, whether you do your taxes yourself or use a tax preparer, the website provides simple instructions for how to make sure your refund donation goes directly to your chosen nonprofit.
As always, we’re grateful for your continued support and hope you’ll consider donating again through this new initiative to support and maintain Our Mission in our community.
