Foundation to Front Door is more than a fundraiser, it’s a shared journey. This community-driven campaign invites neighbors, businesses, and supporters to come together to fully fund a single home, following its progress from the first foundation pour to the moment a family receives their keys. By investing in one home together, our community becomes part of every wall raised, every nail driven, and every milestone celebrated; building not just a house, but hope, stability, and lasting impact. In this fundraiser campaign, we are asking the community will be highlighting one main home that tracks the progress of where the money is going and where we are in the journey.
For this hardworking single mom, homeownership once felt like an impossible dream, something that would only happen with a lottery win or by taking on a second job and sacrificing precious time with her daughter. Providing stability while still being present as a mom has always been her top priority.
She grew up watching her own superhero, her mother, work tirelessly to provide for their family. Her mother’s dream was to one day own a home, but she never had the opportunity. Now, through Habitat for Humanity, that dream is becoming a reality for the next generation.
With determination, perseverance, and gratitude, she is building a stable foundation for her daughter’s future. She knows her mom would be incredibly proud. Habitat for Humanity is making one of her biggest, once seemingly impossible dreams come true, and she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to partner with Habitat to create a safe, affordable place to call home.
At the start of our Foundation to Front Door campaign, Kim’s home is currently in the foundation stage. Thanks to your generous support, we’re preparing to begin framing this week, an exciting milestone that officially kicks off the vertical build of her home.
