Located in the heart of Mesa County, our store offers a wide range of affordable home improvement and building materials. By shopping at the ReStore, you’re not just finding great deals; you’re also supporting Habitat’s mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Every purchase and donation at the ReStore helps us provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to local families. 

Donations We Accept

Do you have items you no longer need but are too valuable to throw away? Consider donating them to our ReStore. We accept a variety of items, including furniture, appliances, tools, and construction materials. Your generous donations not only reduce waste and benefit the environment but also fund our mission of creating affordable housing. Plus, your donation is tax-deductible, and we offer free pick-up services for larger items.

ITEMS THAT WE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT DUE TO LIABILITY, SAFETY REGULATIONS, AND THE CURRENT COST OF DISPOSAL

  • Anything with mold or water damage
  • Alcoholic beverage making kits
  • Appliances that do not work
  • Automotive parts that are used
  • Batteries
  • Blinds that are used (only new and in a box)
  • Cable or Satellite boxes
  • Carpet or flooring that is used
  • Cast iron sinks & tubs
  • Chemicals
  • Children’s items (cribs, strollers, car seats, basinets, highchairs – these items are an insurance liability and must be thrown away)
  • Clothing
  • Computers & related components (CRT Monitors, hard drives, etc.)
  • Shower Doors that are used
  • Toilets that are disassembled, chipped, cracked, stained, or unsanitary
  • TV’s that are a console or CRT
  • Windows without frames or containing aluminum frame. Windows larger than 6’ X 6’
  • Countertops with holes or Granite tops
  • Damaged Goods or items missing parts
  • Documents with personal information
  • Fluorescent lights and bulbs
  • Garage Doors
  • Gas appliances
  • Glass or mirrors without frames
  • Hazardous materials
  • Hospital beds
  • Incandescent Light Bulbs
  • Items that cannot be resold (stained, has holes, ripped, broken, wet, has pet hair, has odor)
  • Jetted tubs used (New are okay)
  • Kerosene Heaters
  • Sinks that are chipped, cracked, stained, or unsanitary
  • Sliding Glass doors without frames
  • Tires and chains
  • Tools rust, or do not function properly
  • Urns
  • Weapons including crossbows
  • Linen
  • Lumber or molding with nails, screws or less than 4 ft in length
  • Magazines
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Organs or pianos
  • Paints/Stains/Mineral spirits (Except from distributors)
  • Phone systems
  • Platform beds or rollaway beds
  • Pool tables
  • Printers, fax machines, copiers (Home or Office)
  • Rugs that are stained, torn, have odor, have pet hair, generally unsellable
  • Safety Equipment (helmets, life jackets, Knee or elbow pads, etc.)
  • Smoke Detectors
  • Spray Cans
  • Tile which is used
  • Tubs that are cracked, chipped, stained, or unsanitary
  • Waterbeds or waterbed frames

Acceptance of items is left up to the discretion of Habitat for Humanity ReStore staff & subject to change.
